Hello! My name is Vanessa Calil and I am UX/UI designer.
I have recently transitioned from a career in the Physics/Mathematics field to UX/UI design.
I have a degree in Physics, with 15 years of experience in finding solutions to different problems. Throughout this trajectory, I developed skills such as autonomy, autodidact, research and collaborations with different people and institutions.
After completing my phd in Physics, I felt the need to seek new challenges and new dreams, so I joined a 2-year Graphic Design course. During the course I got to know the UX area through academic projects and I just fell in love with it!
I looked for more specific courses and developed a case study in the banking area.
I've recently got my first work opportunity as a UX designer in a multinational company where I am UX consulting for one of the largest banks in Brazil. I've been working in an agile environment using the basic UX framework starting with discovery and concept of the project, online discution for validation, future-state journey mapping, sketching, prototyping, running usability tests analising the results and handing-off to developers.
The projects I've been involved are related to backoffice for rural credit using Salesforce system. The major tools I've been working with are Miro, Figma, Sketch, Craft, Invision and Maze so I'm gaining more and more experience with them.
On my spare time, I love to experiment with watercolor paintings, to watch videos of organizing specilists and to keep up with stationary trends (even though I don't actually buy it!).
